THE FALL MENU THAT COMPLETED A WEDDING DREAM

The Fall Menu That Completed a Wedding Dream

When Kelly and Quint shared their wedding vision with us, we couldn’t have been more impressed. From the West Palm Beach floral designer in her corner to the stunning Vineyard at 37 High Holly they chose as their wedding venue—they were certainly off to a strong start on planning their fall wedding in North Carolina.

But one thing was missing—locally sourced food prepared with the utmost care. And that’s why they contacted our Atlanta catering company. They knew that our fresh cuisine would fit in perfectly with the vineyard mountain setting of their fall wedding.

How to Design the Perfect Fall Wedding Menu

Manage Your Wedding Budget

Every couple who compares Atlanta wedding catering prices appreciates any advice we can give them about how to keep costs down. Fortunately, we know this doesn’t mean cutting back on the quality of ingredients, preparation or service. So what’s the secret? Local in-season ingredients that deliver incredible flavor.

Our connections with local producers and commitment to using seasonal ingredients meant we could serve 200 guests the most delicious fall food while respecting the allotted wedding budget.

Consider Your Wedding Theme and Venue

The Vineyard at 37 High Holly wasn’t always a wedding destination. In 2009, the Vance family restored these 20 acres of historic land. And this project that started out of their passion for the outdoors turned into much more. They soon realized that this property had developed into an ideal location for their daughter’s wedding. After her wedding was a huge success, they decided to open up this picturesque wedding location to other lucky couples—like Kelly and Quint.

With 13 unique varietals under vine and the beauty of fall throughout, this venue calls for a wedding menu filled with nature’s bounty. We knew seasonal, locally sourced ingredients would be right at home in this majestic location. Our goal was to make sure guests enjoyed a beautiful and delicious fall experience from their first bite to the last sweet treat.

Incorporate Seasonal Ingredients

We knew that guests would come to the reception from a touching ceremony within the vineyard and apple orchard. That’s why we incorporated ingredients like late-season Ellijay apples into satisfying starters. With local seasonal ingredients elevating the flavor of these traditional Southern foods, guests felt right at home:

  • Anson Mills Rice Middlins Risotto Cakes Topped with fried country ham and local celery relish
  • Buttered Brioche Toasts Topped with late-season Ellijay apples and melted Brie
  • Maryland-style Crab Cakes Remoulade sauce

Custom Design a Menu to Match Your Vision

When Kelly and Quint worked with us to create their custom wedding menu, they expressed the desire for a simple and elegant pre-set salad with subtle hints of fall. We started with local fall greens and completed their vision with sliced pears, crumbled blue cheese, toasted pecans and Dijon vinaigrette. It turns out that’s exactly what guests had in mind!

Feature Your Favorite Foods

Dinner was our chance to really showcase the fall foods that Kelly and Quint love. Opting for a buffet meant we could display a wide variety of dishes so every guest found exactly what they craved. Thanks to our decades of experience, our Atlanta wedding catering company was able to advise the couple on which fall entrees would be most popular. The final selection included these delectable dishes:

  • Grilled Sirloin Steak Served on a creamy horseradish sauce and topped with a salsa verde, micro green garnish
  • Springer Mountain Chicken Breasts Roasted over open coals and brushed with a barbacoa sauce
  • Roasted Local Root Vegetables Tossed in a chive butter glaze
  • Grilled Broccoli Salad Lemon vinaigrette and shaved Parmesan
  • Sweet Potato Ravioli Simmered in a sage brown butter sauce
  • Chive-Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Choose an Array of Desserts

The best Atlanta wedding caterers know that some guests just aren’t big fans of cake, and that’s ok! We love to provide a selection of alternative desserts. For this fall wedding, our creative chefs incorporated flavors like salted caramel and pumpkin into these scrumptious desserts:

  • Hand-Held Mini Pies Late summer berry, peach basil and pecan caramel flavors
  • Salted Caramel Blondes
  • Pumpkin Cheesecake Bites
  • Drunken Cherry Bread Pudding Warm cardamom white chocolate sauce
